VISION
The San Luis Obispo County Office of
Education believes that children are our greatest resource
and hope for the future; therefore, we will strive to create
an educational community on the Central Coast for the common
purpose of preparing all students for productive work, responsible
citizenship, and life-long learning.
MISSION
The mission of the San Luis Obispo
County Office of Education -- through leadership, service
and community partnerships -- is to support schools in meeting
the diverse needs of all children. Toward that end, the San
Luis Obispo County Office of Education will provide educational
programs for children with special needs; serve as a clearinghouse
for resources and information; offer specialized business
services and professional development; advance state-of-the-art
technology; coordinate partnerships among schools, their communities
and businesses and act as an advocate for all children and
public schooling on the Central Coast.
