The San Luis Obispo County Office of Education is not an authorized agency to review or recommend Adult Education or Career Technical Education credentials.

To find an approved Local Education Agency (LEA), Employing School District (ESD), or approved preparation program (APP) to assist you in this process, refer to the leaflet for the type of credential for which you are applying.

Contact the LEA/ESD/APP of your choice to find out how to qualify, apply, renew or clear one of these credentials.

Once the LEA/ESD/APP has reviewed and submitted your application to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education can issue you a Temporary County Certificate which will allow you to work in this county while you are waiting for CTC to issue your document.  Contact us AFTER you have completed your application with the LEA/ESD/APP. They will need to provide your recommendation letter to us.
