Credential Fingerprinting Services

In order to be granted any permit or credential through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) you must be fingerprinted for this purpose.  Even if you have been fingerprinted for other purposes, such as notary licensing, foster parenting, or other employment, including school employment, prints must be done for the CTC.

If you hold a certificate of clearance or any other type of credential or permit issued by the CCTC, you do not need to be fingerprinted again.

NOTE:  When you submit your application for a permit or credential, you will be required to attach a copy of your Livescan receipt with the application.

IMPORTANT:  Fingerprints done for CTC are not the same as the fingerprints needed to be employed in a public school in California.  If you intend to work in SLO County, you should also be fingerprinted for our county schools database.  This is less expensive if both sets of prints are done at the same time.  Please ask for a dual submission.    If you are already employed in a SLO County public school, your prints should be in our database.  You can verify this by contacting 782-7236.
