Classified Employee of the year (CEOY)
The County Office of Education selects a County Classified Employee of the Year (CEOY) from all of the San Luis Obispo County Districts Classified Employee’s of the Year that choose to participate. The application process and rules are determined by California Department of Education and are available at the link provided here.
The timeline usually begins with nomination paperwork due to the COE by Dec/Jan and the final selections and paperwork to the CDE by Feb/March. The winner is considered the winner for the following year (i.e. selected in 10/11 = CEOY 2012). Many districts may have to use the prior year’s CEOY in order to participate, as the CEOY names are not always known by the time that those names are needed to participate in the State level CEOY program.)
