MTSS
Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) is a student-centered, integrated model for supporting students academically, behaviorally, and social-emotionally utilizing a continuum of support. MTSS uses a team approach to align necessary systems to address needs identified through systematic data analysis. All students receive core instruction and teams use data-based decisions to determine when a student needs increased levels of support. Teams routinely review implementation and outcome data to monitor student progress. Ongoing progress monitoring allows teams to increase or decrease support as needed. This approach ensures student needs are met quickly with appropriate interventions.
The Educational Support Services team provides technical assistance, professional learning, and coaching for schools and districts to implement, scale up, and continuously improve their Multi-Tiered System of Support.
