It’s Been a Busy Year of Collaborative Workshops!

Countywide training for school business professionals received a boost this year as SLOCOE collaborated with CASBO (California Association of School Business Officials), CalPERS (California Public Employees’ Retirement System), FCMAT (Fiscal Crisis & Management Assistance Team) to offer workshops to make training opportunities available here in our county. Workshops included CalPERS Employer Training on August 8, CASBO’s Payroll Boot Camp on August 28-30, FCMAT’s Creating a Multi-Year Projection on October 19. The biggest of them all, which provides certification of school business professionals, is CASBO’s CBO Partner Training cohort, which began August and concludes December 9, with graduation.
