Speech and Debate
The Migrant Speech and Debate Program teaches students the important, lifelong skills of argumentation, research, and public speaking. Open to 6th-12th grade students, the program runs from the fall until the regional competition in May. Students will need to commit to attending after school practices once a week. During the course of this year, they’ll dive into some of the most pressing problems in our world: immigration reform, gun laws, climate change, and issues surrounding technology, to name a few.
