Student Health and Nursing Services
The mission of the School Health Program is to promote student health and well-being through a healthy school environment; facilitating full access to school attendance by eliminating health related barriers through nursing assessment, intervention and support.
We will accomplish this by promoting healthy lifestyle choices which include fitness, nutrition, and self care to ensure positive mental, emotional and physical health. We will adhere to evidence based practice recommendations, compliance with education code and public health requirements. In conjunction with individualized health assessment and intervention, we collaborate with school and community partners to connect students with supportive and therapeutic services as needed.

COVID Resources
Communicable Diseases
We adhere to California Department of Public Health, Centers for Disease Control, American Academy of Pediatrics and local Public Health guidance to prevent the spread of infection in the school setting in order to keep the school community healthy and ready to learn.
Immunization Requirements
California Health and Safety Code requires that every kindergarten child entering a California school be immunized against Polio, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B and Varicella. If your child has not fulfilled these requirements, exclusion from attendance at school may be enforced.
Children may be readmitted to school as soon as evidence is presented that the necessary immunizations have been started. If you already have records to prove that your child has received the required immunizations, please present these to the school immediately.
Your child may receive the required immunizations from the local health department or from a private physician.
